"Tarnished Sky" Limited Edition

Inspired by that amazing jacket by Magnolia Pearl, I wanted to create something that had a faded, weathered look with tarnished stars. I put together this piece with elements of Elizabethan, Rococo, and Victorian references. Everything part of this costume is either dyed, painted, and detailed in some way. I love darkening areas that would collect dirt or places where rust and discoloration would bleed. I would consider this one of my "masterpiece" costumes and there are only 2. I won't remake this one again because it was so much work!!
 
One piece leotard is fully-lined. Dyed metallic stretch trim, dyed pearl Mystique spandex, Glisenette flounces are painted and dyed, stars are hand-cut metallic gold velvet with patina effect. 
Crystal embellishments throughout.
Drafted from a vintage lingerie pattern. 
Hand dyed and handmade adjustable straps with gold hardwear. The straps are convertible and can be worn straight or crossed in back.  
Cut is a standard leotard cut with full-coverage.
Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry

M/L: bust 36-41" waist 28-33" hip 37-42" girth 60-63"
