The other day, I was feeling so much anger I knew I had to channel it somewhere. I figured a good one-two punch would be combining darkness with beauty. I created this in a serious flow state! I did a lot of fabric dying, paint throwing, and scissor stabbing. Digging into my Japanese roots, "sakura" means cherry blossom. Imagining the fallen blossoms withering and decomposing on the ground.
This is a one-piece leotard that is detached in the back. The bra is vintage style, adjustable, and isn't very cup specific.
- Vintage style bra is hand-dyed and painted. Applique, stretch lace, crystal, and silk flower details.
- Lower half is stretch velvet and lined.
- All trim and applique is patina'd and aged.
- Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry
