"Forgotten Fairy"
"Forgotten Fairy" is a one piece aerial costume. Inspired by that Christian Lacroix piece but also the idea of of an old Vaudeville fairy costume that has deteriorated. I used a variety of aging and painting techniques on this one! I love the mish mash of colors and appliques. It gives the idea that someone found different pieces of costumes and took them apart to create this. I mean...that IS how many costumes were done back in the day when materials were scarce and performers pieced their own costumes together on the road.
- Bra pattern is drafted from a vintage pattern. Upper cup and straps are backed with heavy weight powernet for structure. Bottom and back panels are also reinforced with heavy weight powernet for support.
- Stretch velvet, silver Mystique fabrics, metallic elastic trims.
- Bottom cut is full-coverage and vintage style.

- Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry

- I do not offer alterations on ready to wear items, however, a simple alteration is easy and affordable by your local dry cleaner or seamstress.
- I do not accept returns on obviously worn items or if you contact me with fit issues well after the delivery date.
