"Assemblage" one of a kind

Inspired by that gorgeous art piece by artist Lazaro Iglesias! I love the mermaid and sky feel. I started with a white base and dyed it in different shades of pale greens and nudes. Just about everything I used on this costume is handpainted and distressed in some way. Really love the soft green (like corroded copper) mixed with the bright, warm coppers. It all looks so white washed and weathered. The gold wings on the hips are stitched down all the way around. The copper heart is copper metallic velvet and I used a trapunto method to create the 3D effect along with shading. 
 
Leotard is fully-lined.
hand dyed pearl mystique spandex, gold wing appliques, lace applique with 3D flower shapes. Pearl and crystal embellishments. champagne metallic stretch trim edging. 
Straps are hand dyed and handmade. Also adjustable and convertible (can be worn crossed or straight) 
Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry

S: bust 32-37" waist 25-30" hip 32-37"  girth 60-63" *torso length is on the longer side
